Construction and maintenance of PVC pipes

PVC is polyvinyl chloride, and other ingredients are added to enhance its heat resistance, toughness, ductility, etc. PVC pipe manufacturers introduced that the top layer of this surface film is lacquer, the main component in the middle is polyvinyl chloride, and the bottom layer is back-coated adhesive. According to statistics, in 1995 alone, the production of PVC in Europe was about 5 million tons, while its consumption was 5.3 million tons. In Germany, the production and consumption of PVC is an average of 1.4 million tons.

PVC pipe (PVC-U pipe) Rigid polyvinyl chloride pipe is made of polyvinyl chloride resin, stabilizer, lubricant, etc., and then extruded by hot pressing. It is the first plastic pipe to be developed and applied. PVC-U pipe has strong corrosion resistance, easy bonding, low price, and hard texture. However, due to the exudation of PVC-U monomer and additives, it is only suitable for water supply systems whose conveying temperature does not exceed 45℃. Plastic pipes are used to transport drinking water, waste water, chemicals, heating and cooling fluids, food, ultra-pure liquids, mud, gas, compressed air and vacuum system applications.

Identification method: first look at the surface finish and whiteness; take the sample and drop it, and the ones that are easy to break are generally high-calcium products. Of course, it must meet the requirements and the price is appropriate; take the sample and step on the edge of the pipe to see if it can Cracking, or elongation at break after cracking; weather resistance: The direct way is to put it in a high-temperature and high-gloss place for a few days to see the surface change rate, but it is too time-consuming.

Application: The essence of PVC pipe is a kind of vacuum blister film, which is used for the surface packaging of various panels, so it is also called decorative film, adhesive film, and is used in many industries such as building materials, packaging, and medicine. Among them, the building materials industry accounts for the largest proportion, at 60%, followed by the packaging industry, and there are several other small-scale applications.
